COLUMBIA, MO - A mid-Missouri lawyer on Friday said you should seek help right away if you don't understand any of the forms you receive concerning Medicaid benefits.
Identity theft is a form of taking, accessing, or using someone’s personal information such as their name, social security number, or credit card number, without their permission, pretending to be someone else by assuming another’s identity, or creating a fake identity.
Consider signing up for an identity theft monitoring service for yourself and other members of your family, including children.
Don’t use the same password for multiple accounts. Make each password unique.
Use a password manager to securely store your passwords.
Monitor your kids, to know what they’re doing online. You can use apps for monitoring, and/or look at your router logs, or configure your router to block sites.
Educate your kids about online safety. The earlier, the better.
Our elderly loved ones are some of the most precious people in our lives. Sadly though, seniors are also some of the most vulnerable, especially when it comes to online scams.

Many young adults have been able to keep their Medicaid for Kids active during the course of the pandemic. If you are 19 or older and still enrolled in MO HealthNet for Kids, you may need to provide updated information to the Family Support Division (FSD) to ensure your coverage remains active. Starting April 1, 2023, FSD resumed annual renewals of eligibility for all Medicaid recipients.

As the Family Support Division (FSD) has started annual renewals in April 2023, some people may need to have a disability determination in order to keep their Medicaid coverage.
To determine if you need an annual review, click on the pdf brochure below.
On April 1, 2023, the Family Support Division (FSD) restarted annual renewals for Missourians who get MO HealthNet (Medicaid) health coverage. If your annual renewal results in less coverage, FSD will mail you an Adverse Action Notice at least 10 days before they take action to reduce (lower) or terminate (end) your coverage. If you get an Adverse Action Notice in the mail, don’t assume FSD is right!
