Missouri Tenant Help
Many persons served by legal aid programs in Missouri may be facing eviction and are unable to get an attorney.  Sadly, we do not have the resources to serve all those who seek our help. We are providing a link to the https://motenanthelp.org that can help self-represented persons defend themselves. The website can produce a document which a tenant can file with the court where their eviction is pending. Additionally, the website has tons of helpful information about evictions.

A Guide to Veterans’ Benefits
According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs,  over 18.2 million veterans age 65 and older are living in the United States. This particular demographic may have more need for resources than others yet have difficulty accessing them because they may not know where to look for help.

Uncontested Divorce Clinic
    Uncontested Divorce Clinic: Volunteer lawyers help eligible individuals prepare their divorce documents. You may qualify for this service and a quick divorce if you and your spouse have no minor children, own no real estate, and have no possessions or debt that are disputed. Contact MMLS at 573-442-0116 to complete an application.

Mid-Missouri Legal Services - Justice in the Halls Clinic
Justice in the Halls: MMLS attorneys are available in the Boone County Courthouse during the Housing Docket to provide legal information and pro se forms to tenants coming to court in eviction cases and can provide legal assistance to eligible individuals who complete an application.  Contact MMLS at 573-442-0116

LAWMO - Urban Homesteading Project
Urban homesteading is a unique opportunity for individuals with construction skills and/or experience in home repair to acquire and rehab homes in poor condition. Eligible properties are truly abandoned and cannot be purchased or otherwise acquired. The houses must be: 1. Vacant for at least six months continuously; 2. Delinquent on taxes for at least two years; and 3. A nuisance (property should have open codes violations).

The Missouri Attorney General’s Office DEFENDERS Program (previously known as the Military Legal Assistance Team) exists to defend those who defend our country and the freedoms that we enjoy. The DEFENDERS Program works to aid active duty servicemembers and military on several different legal issues pro bono, combat predatory businesses practices that target servicemembers, provide education on consumer protection issues facing active-duty military, and more.
