The Legal Help in Disasters Committee (LEHDCOM) of the Governor’s Faith-Based and Community Service Partnership for Disaster Recovery developed the "Disaster Manual for Lawyers and the Public." The manual was prepared for both lawyers and the public for times of natural disasters in Missouri. Justice in the Halls: MMLS attorneys are available in the Boone County Courthouse during the Housing Docket to provide legal information and pro se forms to tenants coming to court in eviction cases and can provide legal assistance to eligible individuals who complete an application.

What is a Joint Tenancy?
Joint tenancy is a form of ownership by two or more individuals together. It differs from other types of co-ownership in that the surviving joint tenant immediately becomes the owner of the whole property upon the death of the other joint tenant. This is called a “right of survivorship.”
