The Legal Help in Disasters Committee (LEHDCOM) of the Governor’s Faith-Based and Community Service Partnership for Disaster Recovery developed the "Disaster Manual for Lawyers and the Public." The manual was prepared for both lawyers and the public for times of natural disasters in Missouri. The Missouri Attorney General’s Office DEFENDERS Program (previously known as the Military Legal Assistance Team) exists to defend those who defend our country and the freedoms that we enjoy. The DEFENDERS Program works to aid active duty servicemembers and military on several different legal issues pro bono, combat predatory businesses practices that target servicemembers, provide education on consumer protection issues facing active-duty military, and more.

Legal Services of Southern Missouri (LSSM) is proud to announce that it has partnered with the Gene Taylor Veterans' Outpatient Clinic in Springfield, Missouri. The goal of this collaboration is to offer veterans personalized legal guidance and assistance in dealing with a wide range of civil legal issues. This partnership will provide veterans with access to legal support while receiving care and treatment at the outpatient facility.
